A goal of $2 million dollars was set, but through generous contributions and support, that goal was surpassed. A critical objective of this area was the re-construction of the Cosgrave Student Center. This center is the heart of Mount Aloysius and the expansion of this area dramatically enhances a student's experience. In 2004, the expanded Cosgrave Student Center was completed and now houses the dining hall, the snack bar, lounge areas, the Ann Harris Smith Little People's Place daycare center, and the bookstore. Additional rooms that were created during the renovations include: meeting space, a cardio room, a nautilus room, the First Commonwealth Aerobics Freestyle Room, and the McLanahan Recreation Area.

Another large campus improvement project that was completed during the campaign was the Anthony and Carolyn Claycomb Miscianga Residence Hall. Thanks to the generosity of area business man Anthony Misciagna, this hall is now home to 100 students.

After the completion of these large projects, the Pedestrian Mall was created in order to link the campus together. The walkway is lined with trees and benches and provides a new space for students to relax, reflect, and have fun with their friends.
