The program leading to the Master of Science in Health and Human Services Administration will enable health and human service clinicians and interested persons in the business field to build on their knowledge of health, clinical processes, health care organizations and business processes so as to become capable health and human service administration generalists.
Upon completion of the curriculum, the graduate will be able to
- function capably in an entry-level administrative capacity in a variety of health and human services organizational settings;
- synthesize knowledge and skill for the assessment and management of complex social, economic and political forces on health and human service administrative practice in a rural setting;
- employ research skills and information management skills for the purpose of guiding assessment of the effectiveness of health and human services care delivery;
- demonstrate professional behaviors and evidence of values in health and human service administration practice that are consistent with social justice and respect for human dignity; and
- demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning in the professional role.
