Giving of your Time and Talents-Alumni Volunteers
As conveyed through the Mount Aloysius College Philosophy Statement....Mount Aloysius provides a setting in which students are encouraged to synthesize faith with learning, to develop competence with compassion, to put talents and gifts at the service of others, and to begin to assume leadership in the world community.
A Mount Aloysius education incorporates much more than the book learning and lab experiences needed to become a professional in a field. You have a unique opportunity to share what you've learned, support what you believe in, and provide opportunities that may not otherwise exist through volunteer opportunities at Mount Aloysius.
As an Admissions Recruiter you can help prospective students learn about the Mount Aloysius experience by hosting a recruitment table at your local college fair, refer prospective students to our Admissions Team, volunteer to speak to prospective students at a College Open House.
As students prepare to graduate, there are so many things they are preparing for such as a brand new career, that first job interview and possibly moving thousands of miles to a new city for that final internship. These are the times that Mounties need to feel supported by their families, friends and former classmates. As a Career Services Volunteer, you can support new alumni (as well as seasoned) by providing internships at your company, job shadowing, employment opportunities or serve as a mentor.
It takes many hands and voices to keep our thousands of alumni connected with their alma mater. As an Alumni/Development Volunteer , you can serve as an Alumni Association Board member, Class Reunion leader, host a regional alumni gathering in your area, or assist with Alumni Reunion Weekend.
If you would like to share your time and expertise with Mount Aloysius College, contact Natalie Vesey, Office of Alumni Relations at 814-886-6425 or by email at alumni@mtaloy.edu.
